Shafts Many people say that the shaft is the engine of the club. It’s important to not only have a great club head, but also to have a shaft that performs. At Pure Golf we offer top brand shafts in both Steel and Graphite, and are here to help you find the one that suits you best.
FST Pro-Silver The FST Pro-Silver is a lighter weight steel shaft with a higher ball flight. It is ideal for Hybrids, or in irons for golfers with slower swing speeds. The Pro-Silver has a unique step-pattern, which makes it visually striking in appearance.

Graphite We stock graphite shafts from top American brand, UST. These shafts are widely used on the PGA tour by some of the world’s best golfers, including world #3 Jim Furyk, and will be a great benefit to your game as well. Competition 75 (Wood or Iron)  This is our base shaft and comes standard with all our clubs, unless you have selected a shaft upgrade. It’s a light weight, durable shaft especially suitable for beginners, or anybody looking for a great value for money shaft.
Proforce V2  If you’re really serious about improving your golf game, then you need to upgrade to the Proforce V2 shaft. This is the shaft that’s currently being used by most of UST’s Tour professionals. Proforce V2 is designed for players seeking a flatter, more penetrating ball flight. The firm tip section produces a medium launch condition and increased ball speed. The Proforce V2 uses the most superior materials and design to produce a very stable, consistent golf shaft. The super low-torque provides maximum control for today’s larger club heads. V2 shafts normally retail at around $200 in New Zealand. Our upgrade prices are much lower!
Proforce V2 High Launch  Proforce V2 High Launch uses the same high modulus materials and tour-proven technologies found in all Proforce V2 models. Players can expect a higher launch condition and maximum ball speed from the more active tip section. While the optimized torque in the V2 High Launch produces a responsive feel and excellent spin rates for the ultimate in shot-shaping control. Also a great option for fairway woods!
The IROD  The IROD Hybrid shaft makes great shots easy. With multiple wins worldwide, the IROD Hybrid set the benchmark for all other hybrid shaft designs. The strong, stable tip section is designed to work with a wide variety of hybrid heads and turf conditions. The IROD hybrid offers consistent distance control and optimum launch angles.
Grips All our clubs come standard with Innovex 'S' grips. These are made in the USA by Star Grips. They are very durable and retain that 'tacky' feel alot longer than most grips, so there's no need to change every year! As well as the standard Innovex 'S' grip, we have a mid-size 'wrap' version.  We are also proud stockists of the ProPlay Fitting System. This is a New Zealand designed system combining specially designed gloves and grips that ensure you have the right grip every single time. They come in a range of colour coded sizes and we can help ensure you have the right grips for your hand size. A good grip is one of the most essential elements of a good golf swing and this system can dramatically improve your golf by making sure your grip is just right.
