Pure Golf Custom Fitting (Click here to be taken straight to our fitting form.)

At Pure Golf, we strongly believe that to play your best, you need to have the right equipment. This means equipment that properly fits your swing and your game. Have you ever tried riding a bike that was too big for you? Or too small? Difficult isn’t it. Having golf clubs fitted to you makes the game that much easier. It won’t make you a great golfer overnight, but it will certainly help and give you a more satisfying game.

Our Custom fitting system will make sure you get the right club length, shaft flex, shaft model, grip size, and set make-up.

Length: This is arguably the most important factor in club fitting, and is ironically one of the most overlooked. If your clubs are too long you will struggle to hit them consistently and accurately. Too short and you’ll lose distance, as well as having to make compromises in your posture to hit solid shots.

Shafts: The shaft is often referred to as the ‘engine’ of the club. Different shafts bend (or ‘flex’) different amounts and at different points, affecting ball flight and accuracy. Too stiff and you will struggle to launch the ball properly, compromising your distance. Too flexible and you will lose control and accuracy. We offer different shaft makes and models in both graphite and steel. All provide you with a different combination of launch, distance and accuracy depending on your swing. Check out our ‘Shafts and Grips’ page more information.

Grip size: An often overlooked area of club fitting is grip size. A grip that's too large can cause a slice, too small can cause a hook. As well as our standard and midsize grips, we also stock the ProPlay grip system. This revolutionary New Zealand designed system will ensure that you have the right grips for your hand size and will help make sure you grip the club correctly every single time you play a shot. See our ‘Shaft and Grips’ page for more details. Finding the right grip and glove size for you is all part of our fitting service.

Set make up: It’s important to have clubs that suit your skill level and to have even distance gaps between all your clubs. Most big golf companies offer very small distance gaps between the long clubs in the bag and huge gaps between the shorter clubs, such as wedges, where you need the most accuracy. This is all backwards in our opinion. We will help you to find the right combination of woods, hybrids, irons and wedges to make sure your set suits your skill level and gives you even distance gaps across the whole bag.
